The initiative commenced after thorough deliberations on what happens to children on the school feeding programme when they finish their primary education.
We took an initiative to follow up and we realized that most of them ended up in the dumping sites scavenging for food instead of proceeding with their post primary education.
We were compelled to start Light of Kenya in Collaborations with our partners to cater for the neediest cases in the Urban Slums. Currently, the initiative is supporting 14 students with their post primary and tertiary education across the country.
Today, Light of Kenya, nonetheless, has rekindled the shuttered dreams of many urban slums children enabling them to reach their full potential.
